Background
The Private Pilot Certificate has traditionally been the entry level certificate for pilots who want to make flying their career and those who just want to do it for fun. Learning to fly a single engine fixed wing aircraft and obtaining the Private Pilot Certificate allows one to fly friends and family during day and night when the visibilities are relatively good and you can stay out of adverse weather such as clouds.
The student pilot for the Private Pilot Certificate must learn basic aerodynamics, navigation and communication skills. Additionally, there is a focus on weather as our flying is so dependent on the atmospheric conditions. Private pilots don't want to get caught in the clouds and understanding weather and getting proper briefings help keep everyone safe.
The training for your Private Pilot Certificate, as with your advance ratings in aviation, has a strong focus on safety and being prepared for the unexpected. |
